Account Executive

In this role, you will be working directly with clients and a cross-functional agency team to deliver business and marketing programs which will lead to success and growth for our clients.

This position encompasses project management, leadership, and administration duties to support our clients. The right candidate will have a passion for unignorable creative ideas, strong problem-solving skills, and experience managing integrated projects in a fast-paced environment and a collaborative team spirit.

This is a key cross-functional leadership role requiring collaboration with VS Group leadership team, marketing, IT and accounting teams. In addition, this role also owns key external relationships with partners and clients.

The Account Executive will be responsible for networking with potential clients and developing relationships with key decision makers in a variety of organizations and be responsible for growing new business and expanding current client accounts. You will contribute to constantly improve our competitiveness by leading enhancements, developing new proposal content and refining how we communicate our values, products and services through proposals tailored to each client and prospective client.

This position will be required to work at the office and off-site as required as well as occasional travel for training, team building and client services. 

Roles and Responsibilities Summary

Business Development 

  • Daily monitoring of procurement sites
  • Supports VS Group management in proposal preparation, including responses to RFP requirements, cover letters, executive summaries, references, project summaries and more
  • Coordinate input from internal team and write and produce proposals that win even more business for our fast-growing organization.
  • Develop and distribute estimates to client and ensure timely approvals and delivery to finance.
  • Client prospecting by effective networking in both the community and in the digital space.

Client Services

  • Maintain up-to-date information on the status of projects including managing and keeping status reports up-to-date and prepared for status calls.
  • Assist with the set-up of meetings based on the schedules (internals and kickoffs).
  • Write and distribute accurate contact reports to clients and the team.
  • Manage & deliver asset trafficking timelines and documents 

Account Leadership

  • Be the critical link between VS Group and their clients with responsibility to build relationships with new clients while helping to cultivate relationships with existing ones.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, and make recommendations for addressing client needs with a holistic view of the business opportunity
  • Identify new opportunities, strategic partners, influential consultants, industry associations, key publications, media, trade conferences & events and speaking opportunities which can advance the interest of both VS Group and its clients

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant ad agency or marketing environment experience.
  • Experience leading projects and programs independently and collaboratively (with senior management support)
  • Experience reviewing Requests for Proposals, attention to detail and eye for accuracy and ability to respond to a Request for Quote or RFP with accuracy and impact.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly proactive and responsive.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to independently manage client contacts day to day.
  • A self-starter, resourceful problem-solver.
  • Ability to establish and be in command of the administrative controls of a large-scale account.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects to tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must know your way around a spreadsheet, PowerPoint and a word doc.
